What is it about?

First-hand knowledge, exchange on equal terms

Sarcomas are rare, and those who receive a diagnosis are often faced with more questions than answers. This is precisely what makes direct contact between patients, relatives, and healthcare providers so valuable.

The 1st Munich Sarcoma Patient Day brings everyone together. You'll receive clear, first-hand information from experts at the sarcoma centers at the Klinikum rechts der Isar and the LMU Klinikum, covering diagnostics, surgery, radiation therapy, genetics, clinical trials, and the post-treatment period.

Plenty of time is allotted between the presentations for questions; every question is welcome, even those that might seem insignificant. Parallel sessions in the afternoon will address topics that are often neglected in everyday clinical practice: psycho-oncology, fertility, exercise with cancer, social law, aftercare, and how family members cope with the diagnosis and support each other.

WHO IS THE DAY FOR?

Patients

You yourself are suffering from a sarcoma, currently undergoing diagnosis or treatment, or already in aftercare.

relatives

You are accompanying someone on their journey through illness and are seeking knowledge and exchange with other relatives.
